After beginning his undergrad in the Fall of 2000, Dan finally has a Bachelor's Degree! He started out at Utah State after High School, then switched to UVSC when he returned from his mission (which I'm very grateful for, or else we never would have met). We got married and he transferred to the University of Utah, hoping to better his chances of getting into Dental School.
After he completed all the Pre-Dental requirements, we had a decision to make: Go ahead and apply to Dental School that year without a Bachelor's, making it harder to get in (most of his competition had Bachelor's Degrees, or would by the time they started Dental School), or wait a year, finish his Bachelor's and then apply, prolonging his already lengthy education. The U made this decision a bit easier for us when we found out they have a special program for students accepted to Dental and Medical School. If they are accepted before they complete the requirements for a Bachelor's Degree, they can send back their transcripts from their first year at Dental/Medical School and receive a Bachelor's in Medical Biology.
So, we decided to take a chance. Dan applied without a degree, started Dental School without graduating from undergrad, sent back his transcripts from his first year at Temple, and his parents recently called to tell us his diploma had arrived in the mail. Yay!
Oh, Hello!
