Dan finished up the semester (finally!) and now has a two month break from school (which he was more than ready for)! One year down, three to go! To celebrate we took a 10 day trip to Florida (this is the only summer break he gets out of all four years, so we had to take advantage of it : ). On the way down we stopped in Fayetteville, NC and spent a couple days with Dan's uncle Curtis and his family. He recently retired from the Army after many years of service to our country. He took us to several military museums and told us about many of the displays from first hand experience. Some of my favorites were the 82nd Airborne Division (which is based in Fayetteville on Fort Bragg, but is almost entirely deployed to the Middle East right now) and the Special Ops museums. Curtis was an airborne infantryman for many years, which means he got lots of experience parachuting out of airplanes. He then become an instructor. It was a great way to get ready for the Fourth of July and really made me think about all those service men and women have done and continue to do for us.
Oh, Hello!
