Last night we were surprised to get a knock on our door, since people don't just stop by very often. It happened to be our neighbor who lives next door to us with her two daughters who are just a bit older than me. We talk to them from time to time and they are just the nicest people, but we haven't gotten to know them very well. They invited us over for a BBQ on their porch. They are from Ethiopia and prepared some delicious Ethiopian food for us. We loved it! It was wonderful to get to know them better. It was very interesting to hear about their lives in Africa and their experiences living here. Her husband has retired and returned to live in Ethiopia with her son where they have maids and cooks and drivers! One of her daughters is in the process of applying to Temple Dental School. They were very gracious hosts and we had a great time!
