Our first night in Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, we arrived at our hotel relieved to be done with our cross-country drive. We kicked off our shoes, sat down to relax and turned on the tv. This is what we saw.
It was all over the news. Talk about Brotherly Love. Needless to say we weren't so relaxed anymore. Especially when, just a week or so later, we were sitting in our living room at 10:00 at night, wondering why there had been loud helicopters flying over head for the last half-hour. We peek out the window and see giant spotlights in our yard! It moved to our backyard, and then next door. There were police cars all over the place, with their lights off, searching up and down the streets. Dan's favorite part of the story is when I start frantically running around the house locking all the windows and bolting the doors. It was just like the manhunts you see in the movies! It's hard to believe we've lived here for nine months already, but now it feels just like home! We've actually really enjoyed it!
